Experienced offshore guys, a little advice...?

As long as your stuff is not holding up drilling/production stress is not too bad. The work from an engineers standpoint is easy, that is, until something goes wrong with your equipment. Then the stress skyrockets because now you have the 'company man' yelling at you. But that doesn't happen too often.

Look to spend some real strange hours and not get much sleep. One time, I went out on a job on a Friday night and didn't get any sleep for 2 nights and finally got to sleep Sunday evening. Slept all through Monday. Its been years since I have been offshore. Its good experience and looks good on your resume for future jobs/promotions.
