ok i know this does happen but this was a first for me, took my car into brakemasters yesterday for an oil change and brake inspection well after i got the car back that night i was driving when i noticed a burning smell like paper burning so i got out opened the hood and there was a ******* clipboard from brakemasters stuck between the wheelwel and the manifold lol the papers on the board were burnt. I have found rags before but a clipboard?

anyone else ever find **** under the hood after you got it back from the shop or inside the car.

Wow no I haven't heard of that. I've had a guy leave a piece of paper inside my car before but never under the hood

yeah i was going to take back the clipboard today and tell them about it but na i guess its not worth getting someone in trouble. if my car would have went up in flames it would be a different story though

Mother had her car changed at the neighborhood shop one day, she paid, left, was going down the freeway till she started smelling something funny. She stopped on the side (bad idea in Houston) and her friend that was with her looked at the dip stick and guess what? Yes, you can imagine it if you can, the "Richard Head" forgot to put oil back into the motor!!! Can you say "One pissed mama that almost had to be restrained physically from going back with this pipe she had in her car!"

Me and my brothers know that mother has a real mean swing with a belt, we could have imagined what drama would have occured if she would have made it to that shop. She's over 60 and we'd swear if she played golf that she'd swing a 500 yarder easily.

At least you got a free torque wrench.

I always change the oil myself, or if I had to do it at the shop, I watch them change it.

i'm on the other end. i work at NTB and i find **** under the hood of people's cars all the time. of course the obvious stuff like rags, paper towels, paper funnels, bottles of PS fluid, etc.

but i find stuff like pliars, wrenches, socket sets, ratches, knifes, hammers, old spark plugs, bolts, cigarette butts, sets of keys, silverware and pants...

inside trunks i can't even get started... condoms, thongs, guns, you name it...

I found a 3 month old cheese burger in my car once. It was parked for a while. Had to pull all of the carpet out and let it air out for a couple of days to get the smell out.

On a side note, what in the hell do you have to do to get your post count higher around here?

Not quite. I found out because the tech called when he couldnt find his torque wrench. I was a nice guy and returned it.
