I'm a idiot! I Lost my keys. I lost my only set of keys to my 1998 z28 today. Whats the best way of going about getting keys made? Least expensive place to go how much do you think it will be? Please help thank you. |
If you have proof of ownership you can take your vin to a dealer and they will cut it for you. I think it will be $25-$35 for the door an ignition keys. If you want the key fob it will cost more $$$ Call before going to make sure you have everything you need. |
My buddy just got a new ignition key (broke his old one) for his 98 z. Cost him 37 bucks, all he had to bring was a copy of his registration (guy said that or the title) and his matching drivers license. |
Thank yall! I thought I was going to be looking at my car for a while. |
your not the only one loosing keys, my friend has been loosing his keys at least once a week for the past month |
when I lost mine I had to pay a "look up" fee. like 50 bucks in addition to the cost of the key. |

i locked my key in my car once, and whenever GM tried to cut me a key via my VIN, it didnt work. so dont always trust GM on this matter. |
Hey Lucky, heres a pic to keep ya focused on the keys!!! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...ndParts004.jpg |
