What MIG welder do you have? Plenty of Millers are spool gun ready.

I do not think that lincoln can support a spool gun. I could be wrong.

you better have leather sleeves if you plan on running a lot of alumimum mig. The splatter ***** coming off of it will burn the snot out of you. I personally dont like mig welding aluminum, well I would prefer to not mig weld anything, but thats besides the point.

If you have good hand eye coordination tig welding aluminum isn't that hard to do. Yes it takes practice, but I dont think its as hard as everyone puts it out to be. Post up when you get started and Ill help you out with your aluminum tig if you need it.

At least I'm not the only one that thinks that its not that difficult. There are many things to welding aluminum that will make it alot easier.

1. Clean, Clean, when you think its clean, clean it again.

2. You dont have to keep a super close arc length, if you do you are going to touch and contaminate your tungsten.

3. Use a decent size cup with a gas lens. You want the best gas coverage that you can to keep the weld clean.

4. Dont worry about putting a ball on the end of the tungsten before you start welding. Sharpen it to a point and it will form the ball on its own from the AC current.

5. Get yourself in a rythem. It is best when you first start to count, or weld to the beat of a song. Your welds will be more consistant this way.

Thats all I can think of right now. Good luck.
