Default home depot crankshaft seal install tools

For anyone replacing their crank seals. I found these worked quite well to install my crankshaft seals on my LS1. 2 inch pvc cap for the front p/n 012871628382 $1.20 and 4 inch pvc cap for the rear p/n 052063434056 $1.47

Nice! This might get deleted though because Home Depot is not an LS1tech sponsor haha

did you have a old seal or somthing? The new styles for the past year, maybe 2 I've been useing. Had the inner install support disk, for no special tools needed like the older seals.

is the 4" a sewer and drain, or a sch 40 setup? they are a different size.

It looks flat which means it would be the thinwall septic type pipe. SCH40 pipe will have a rounded end.

I used to work there. Decent pay, shitty managers. Plumbing guys should've been in the ground years ago, it's a miracle humans can look so old without dying.

depends on the company. there are a few makers who do flat sch 40. usually wholesale and commerical type stuff, so it likely that it is sewer and drain.

See pictures.
Part numbers to come soon, but these look very similar to the ones that were in the above pictures, except the 2" one has a curved end and isn't a tight enough fit to be used for alignment but can still be used to evenly pound in the seal. They were both less than 3$ each.
