Can I use a NEMA 10-30P with a 220v mig welder to a NEMA 10-30R 250v I really want to start welding at home and this is the receptacle that I have in my garage behind my dryer. I am not using it because I have a gas dryer. I want to know if it is safe to wire up my welder to this outlet with the correct 10-30P. I know most people from what I have been researching are using the 6-30p with the corresponding outlet unless their house has the 4 prong outlet. Only reason I am asking is because the outlet says 250v and my welder says 220v. |
It will work fine. |
