Default Need a new Oil drain bucket/can

Anyway.........I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a good drain bucket/container??
I needed to change oil in my vehicles so I went to walmart and bought a drain pan/container thingy. I was draining my wife's oil and I was seeing oil getting on the ground. I didn't think to much about it but I work clean so....**** it. after filling the car with oil I looked on the drive way and saw more oil......*** me.....spray it down with brake clean and move along. At this point ALL the oil SHOULD be off the drive way, nope the ******* new drain pan I just bought had a hole in the side and was pissing on the clean concrete. I take it back to walmart and get a refund,I'm not getting another one to just return when it leaks.

so can anyone recommend a good(will last) oil catch pan/container??

I feed my cows a supplement that comes in heavy duty plastic tubs, they are non refundable so I cut them down and use them for catch pans and parts washer, etc. Most ranchers will be glad to give you some. I even use one to wash my dog...

O'Reilly Auto sells Hopkins Flowtool plastic drain containers that are sealable. Sizes are 6-Qt, 10-Qt, 15-Qt, 16-Qt, 24-Qt, 58-Qt. I use the 16 qt and works great. Large surface area to catch the oil during draining and can completely seal it when done. When you need to drain it, it has a large 2" opening spout to drain the oil.

I paid $14.99 for mine, but for reference the largest one, the 58 qt (almost 15 Gallon) is $89.99.

Wow. Can't buy a pan to catch oil without checking on a forum. How did we ever live without the internet.

DUDE.....Read the first post. The new drain pan/bucket are sooooooo thin and cheaply made that one bump/scrape on the shitty plastic and they leak. I've been reading a lot of places that other people are having the same problem. I just thought someone MIGHT have one that isn't a piece of **** and will last. Isn't a forum a place people go for help on things they can't figure out. SO your saying you never needed help on things?????

I've been using something very similar for about 35 years now. Bought it before Al Gore invented the internet.
