What's your oldest tool? I was looking at the Snap-On date guide and decided to check out my Snap-On collection. I have a lot of Snap-On tools that were hand-me-downs from my grandfather (Chevy dealership mechanic). I had a particularly old ratchet so I dated - 1947. Anyone got me beat? Oddly enough, most of the tools that I looked at were mid-late 50s. They're in pretty damn good shape for the amount of use and years on them. Dope |
The oldest socket I have from snap on is from the 30's .The did not even stamp snap on on them yet just an SO the letters overlap themselves . |
Damn, non of my stuff is more then five years old. I wish my grandpa would have had Snap-on. |
Oldest tool is probably around 2002, I have pretty much gotten rid of everything old when I got upgraded / better tools to replace them. |
I have some Craftsman wrenches that were hand me downs from my grandpa. No date stamped on them, but I'd guess they were from the 70's. That's still 30 years old =) |
My oldest is a 1971 model Snap On 3/8 drive ratchet. |
I have a curved crescent wrench from the 20's :chug: |
What's your oldest tool? My 58 year old neighbor. The guy was always a tool. |
