where to buy/rent piston notching tool?

Default where to buy/rent piston notching tool?

need to notch the pistons on an LS1 engine and tsp no longer rents the tool for it. where can I rent one from and where could I buy one from and how much? I do alot of LS1 work so if its practical at all maybe by the time I rent it a few times I could have just bought one?

If you have any extra valves you can cut notches on the face and attach the valve to your drill. Very easy and effective.

but how do I use the tool? I thought I had to use an old head that had the seats removed or something like that?

We do, we supply a dummy head, the correct size cutter, and everything you need to flycut. Cost is 125 or so, but there is a core charge.
