Smile why don't ya?
 

I've done a quick search and asked a few people but no straight answer. Is there a know way to change the quick reference smile list on the right side of the message or topic reply screen? I just want to chenge the ones on there to the ones i use the most. Not a big deal of course, just wondering.

I've never heard of it and I looked through the interface and the user CP for an option, but found nothing. I think it's pretty safe to say that you cannot do that. However, I could be wrong.

That would be cool to do. I have just learned to use the text on the most common ones

Stock software wise, there is no way to sort the order of the Smilies shown per user as it's auto generated without any consideration to the user's account. There very well could be a "plugin" that does this, which would also have to alter the database to store your preferences, but as-is, no there is no such current option.
