You have to be a member for 6 months or have 50 post to use the classifieds.

Having read that rule I can see the benefits of enforcing such a policy for people selling (traders getting hold of a car and taking parts off it to make a profit will obviously clog up the classifieds making it more difficult for normal everyday members to sell their items or someone saying they have parts, but then taking the money and running!) but in my case, i'm trying to buy stuff.
i have parts i need to buy quite quickly to finish off my project, so i'm joining several new forums to try and find them. (long story short this is my first LS1 project, i'm based in England so GM parts are pretty rare and the engine's going in a nissan, so having not owned a GM car before i've had no reason to be a member on here or any other LSx related sight)
I *could* technically add 50 stupid posts about, what spark plugs do i need for xxxbhp etc, but...
A- i'd annoy everyone for asking n00b questions
B- i'd slow down the forum by adding more useless posts / threads and
C- i'd annoy myself for wasting everyone's time and bandwidth
I'm a very trusted member on a well respected Nissan owners club, i've been there 5 years, was a rep for a while and have bought and sold thousands of pounds worth of parts of the years I can / will provide this information to anyone who asks for it as I only need a few parts, aftermarket MAF, Tuning parts etc. just seems a shame that my hard earned cash can't fly across the atlantic to my american buddies to i can have your shiney engine parts for my poor unloved LS1
i'd ask for an exception but it's already been stated in the rules that's not possible. just seems a real shame
[/rant off] 50 posts to go
(shame posts in this section don't count, or it'd only be 46...)

I have the same problem. I'm a member of LTXtech, and I'm buying stuff up left and right. If you know someone that's more established, have them make contact for you (I had a co-worker send someone a PM on my behalf with my e-mail, and I made contact and bought a procharger, built trans, and 12 bolt from them!). If you can't make contact happen, you'll just have to work your way up....like me!

For Sale Forums - Posting Problems
Every registered user on LS1tech is now required to have a minimum of 50 posts, or a minimum of 6 months membership duration before they can gain the privilege of posting a NEW THREAD or REPLY in the Classifieds sections, or post FOR SALE ad (or REPLY with selling intent) in any section of the site. Post whoring (i.e. "cool, nice car, ..., sweet.....etc) to reach 50+ posts is not allowed. Post count will be reset to zero with or without any notification. If member is caught post whoring two times they will be banned.
Unfortunately, we've had to put this restriction on our site due to so many lurking scammers popping up and taking honest money. This restriction has helped to ring out a lot of the scammers looking to make a quick buck on our site. Posting for sale items in other forums to circumvent this rule is prohibited and the posts will be deleted.
After your 50th post, it takes a period of 24 hours to update your access to the classifieds forums. DO NOT make a post requesting instant access upon making your 50th post, the system is automated. The database updates certain records on a daily basis, it is not instantaneous. Any threads regarding this will be locked/ignored.
Please do not contact us asking to circumvent this 50 post rule. The system is automated and we do not make exceptions. We feel that the classifieds forums here are a privilege to contributing members, not a free service for new members.

Help posting?
Hi Guys,
I'm trying to post a classified ad for some PT parts, but I'm getting an error message that says 'I'm not allowed.' Can I fix this? I'm not spam, and am a member here, PT.com and Lat-g.
Thanks,
Ron

Can't Post in Parts Wanted Section
Newbie here and need some parts. Why can't I post in the wanted section? I can send PM's and even posted in some other sections with questions, etc. Okay I read the sticky so I guess it applies to newbs posting in the wanted as well as the for sale sections?? If so, sorry for wasting everyone's time and I'll just have to wait. Thanks for any help. Jason
