PM's?

Unfortunately last night, a thread in SRK got out of hand (big surprise) and a few members were banned (myself included). I spoke with an admin and have obviously returned, but I cannot use my pm box. Is there anyway to go about getting this back, or am I stuck with no access to it? Thanks.

I don't see any issue with your account as you have normal permissions.

What exactly is the error message? Please copy/paste it.

I cannot access my pm's at all. If I were to try to send you a pm at this moment, it would not show up when I click your user name. I cannot view any pictures either. I see this message:

"why87, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

I would have just pm'd a mod about this, but obviously I couldn't . Thanks.

It looks like when you were banned, it was done via the profile infractions. It was a permanent ban that carried enough points to put your account on restricted status (which is the title currently under your user name, and the reason you have no access to PMs).

When you were reinstated, these infraction points were not removed. Changing this back is above my pay grade, either an admin or IB staff would be the only ones that could undo that.

RPM WS6 is right and I missed the Infraction on the account. Issuing an endless Infraction but then manually changing the usergroup will create conflicts (such as this case, or cases that render future infractions useless).

Administrator Unit213:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/member.php?u=2664 was the one to issue the Infraction and it's probably up to him to decide if the account should be fully restored (as the usergroup shows) or if the account should be Restricted (as the Infraction and user title shows).

Sounds like I'm stuck then. Thanks guys.

But I'm still not sure why it was banned to begin with...:(

Well you have to be careful what you say...and to whom lol. They have the final word on who stays and who goes, and it's not really up for debate. As far as details, only the admin in question could answer that for you. Least you can still post up, sort of a another chance imo. Pretty easy for things to go too far on here and sometimes pulling rank is the best way to end it. We all have to learn somehow though right? Glad you got a second chance though either way dude.

I don't see any issue with your account.

Please copy/paste the exact error and provide a link to a member you tried PM'ing.
