Search only goes back so far?

Search only goes back so far? I have been searching for some info I posted back in 2004-2005 and can't seem to get there. Every time I search my for all the posts I have made it only comes up with 250 and back to 2007. I have over 1400 posts. Why can't I search/view all of them since I joined?

Search results have been limited, for as long as I can recall, due to resource reasons. To find the content you're looking for, you need to make sure you are descriptive with search terms and also narrow down the searched content via Advanced Search (selecting a specific section, sort by ascending for older content, etc.).
The content is there, it's just the search engine limits the returned results so you need to be more specific when searching to make sure the results return specifically what you're looking for.
