30 Second Search??

30 Second Search?? When i try to search and mispell something and search it comes up no matches..simple. When I go to re-do it says you can only search one time every thirty second. Is there a reason for that or is that just how it works? Not ragging or anything i am just curious.

You should have done a search on this subject.

I believe the reason for it is to keep from tying up the server. It has to dig through a whole lot of info each time you search.

Squintz nailed it on the head.. Search is extremely server intensive, especially when you are searching over 2 million posts 
As such we limit it to one per user per 30 seconds.
