Who's online.. Whats happend to the list of peeps that are on the board at the bottom of the home forums page? Brains doing some work again tonight? :) PS the site doesn't show how many viewers are in each section  |
this site hasnt shown that in a long time. you can add users you know to your buddy list and see if they are online there, but as for it being on available, what does it help really? I've never went through a list of 1200+ people to find one person, just use the member list. |
Yeah, we finally decided having that huge list of usernames at the bottom might have "looked neat" but it really wasn't useful to find people.. Just too many names, especially after I turned off sorting. By eliminating having to query and display all that data, it helps preserve system resources and keep site speed up. We'll be making some more changes here and there to improve performance as well... |
Okay thanks Brains. |

that first line was in reference to who's in what forum, I dont recall how long its been since i've seen that. |
I think they're talking on the main LS1Tech page, Brandon. It was indeed up until Brains disabled it this afternoon. |
I think the users list was kind of cool when we first started the site. There were only a hundred or so names on there to keep up with. Really didn't do much once we got into the 1000+ online figures. Just use your buddy list to keep up with who's online. Tony |

It only takes two mouse clicks to add someone to your buddy list... ;) Click on their name, then click on "Add so-n-so to your buddy list." |
That feature slows the site at our load level, but it was a neat feature. |
i liked it because it was easy to find threads i had replied to to see updates without having to subscribe to every thread i replied to. |
 Those two things are not related.. |
An example of this is going on in a thread that questions Young at Byunspeed(hope spelling is right) because he only beat the best price for a product for a member by only a "dollar" Young fufilled his promiss to the "customer" and the asshat "questioned" his customer service, this is the reason its important for members to always see who is always online at certain times, this site is awesome BECAUSE the online status of members in despute have to explain there sides in full if both sides can be proved to be on site at the same time, hope this makes since. |

ummm, that still works. Click on your own name and you should be able to find more posts by yourself. |
but subscribing to threads is easily setup in the user cp, and when you come to the site, you can click user cp and see threads that you've replied or subscribed too... plus, that eases up on the amount of searching that has to go on.. |
Ha, I didn't even notice the "Who's Online" thing missing. I always had it collapsed. |

Try this -- upper right corner, click "Quick Links" then My Profile. That should get you to what you're looking for. |
