A little help from anyone who knows what I'm talking about This has nothing to do with this site... so feel free to move it, but I figured the guys in here could prob answer it and I don't know where else to ask... I'm working on a HVAC system and the controls have been connected through an ethernet connection so we can adjust the set points from my office... I was given the "static and dynamic IP address" and told to access them using those... I can't get the IT guy on the phone and need to know how the hell I can do that... should I be able to access the router on site using just the two IP addresses or do I need something else... like software.... etc to do this. Just need to know if I'm the problem because I don't know how or if I'm missing a peice of the puzzle? |
What exactly is the name/mnfr of this HVAC system control thing? |

i hear ya. web based interfaces are getting more and more popular with the expansion of IP-enabled appliances. even a lot of the higher level networking equipment i deal with these days is moving to a WBI(web based interface). as long as they still provide a CLI(command line interface) for when things get really hosed up i'm still happy. glad you got it figured out :thumb: |
