everything about this new site looks cheap and cheesy <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> including the gay *** icons..I am SO disappointed, also, everything looks all cramped up ..I liked how big the words were on the old site..I can see my time spent here will be dwindling

I don't like it at all compared to the old site, the colors are weird, too much stuff all around...

I guess I could get used to it, but I like the older version better.... <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I'm not too crazy about it... too cluttered, too much info is presented,do we really need a rating on the threads? just makes it too cluttered.

The white on white is annoying but that prolly just takes some tweaking to fix

Too many options though and it's too "busy" ... I liked the old setup better, it was to the point, gave you the info you needed and that's it...

Also not liking the reply next to each post... a few small buttons like before is fine but having big buttons by every post just makes it look too cluttered....

Also seems that when you click on a thread it brings you to the bottom of the thread... then you have to scroll to the top to see what it's all about...

Just doesn't seem very uniform like it was before

The font is too small....

Hell, I can't hardly read the posts and I have the "Text size" on my Internet Explorer "View" set to LARGE

I don't like it either. There are so many areas that need improvement. I'm sure 9ball, PSJ, and Colonel will adjust the board to the liking of the majority of the members. They've always worked with us to the best of their ability before. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt here. With that said, here are a few things I don't like:

1. The contrasting colors
2. Lack of polished/classic look of old board
3. New LS1Tech logo on top of the page
4. The font sizing
5. Difficult to differentiate between posts
6. Reply/Quote buttons shouldn't be boxed in. They are too large.
7. Sig length is 500 characters (not the old 7 lines)?
8. The smilies are HORRIBLE.

I've only been on the new board for 15 mins too. I'm sure I'll find more. Most people are
resistent to change. That's common knowledge. It seems like we took a step backwards in terms
of asthetics. I guess the appearance of the board is ricey now but it has forged internals. <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

This is only the first night guys. Please try and keep a more postive attitude. THIS IS NOT THE FINAL APPEARANCE of the site. Those gay smileys will be replaced, the text box sizes are too small, and I will work on the clutter. This software is not as admin-friendly as the more simple previous version, so it will take me some time to hack all the additional crap off of the screen. What you are seeing is the all-out baseline of crap on the screen, which is how the software is provided to us. They figure its easier for me to remove the junk than have to add it if I want it.

This software should be much quicker. I've always been more of a performance enthusiast than a show'n'shine enthusiast. Give it a week, we will address these concerns.

That's pretty much what I figured. The performance aspect of the board is very nice. It seems to be much quicker. You should bring in Steve200SS for the appearance mods!

I've been away for a while so it came as a total shock.

I like the classic look much better because the new look makes it harder to read overall.

It is very busy and tough to read.

I think the old format was one of the best ones out in comparison to all the rest. I do think that it effects readership too. When CorvetteForum went to their new format I stopped going there as much.

This software is nicer once the layout is cleaned up, I've seen it on other sites. Just gotta get the clutter down and do something with the colors, it is super super busy.

And for those who linked/bookmarked the old website by the /ultimate.cgi url the site fails to load. I thought the board was still down until I just tried ls1tech by itself.

(Please interpete this as 'constructive critisism)

Egads!!
It looks like bad acid trip!! <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Icons are lame. I liked the old ones.
Too "cluttered" There are more boxes, icons et al. than 'content'
All we need now is a big 'ol 4 foot wing at the top of the screen
and the 'image' would be complete. <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Need to 'tone it down' a bit.

Simple and straight forward is good.
As I'm typing this out.. I can't find the 'preview post' function..
(Is it after the 'continue' button? Guess I'll find out soon...

I may be in the minority, but I actually don't think it looks bad at all. They're are a few tweaks I'd probably like to see but overall I like it.

Another thing to consider is what people look at this on.

On my laptop at 1400x1050 it looks like ***, on my 21" monitor it looks decent and readable.

Well, heres my contructive criticism.

I think the edit/reply/quote buttons still stand out a little too much. I think they need to be more conservative, just like the little icons under "post extras". One other thing, the reply screen just seems sorta unprofessional looking. Hard to explain, it just doesnt look right. The way things are arranged, the layout, etc. But other than that, I really like the look.

Yes, but from experience if you do not make the reply, edit, quote buttons very obvious, more people will gripe about not knowing where they are. At least they are easy to find.

The reply screen looks like crap. It will take some time to fix all of this stuff, I'm the only one that can do it.

Threads with new topics in them show up blank for me when viewing the entire forum, only when I click on them do they show up.

Why did my username say DO NOT DELETE?

I notice it's the threads on the white lines where I cannot see the subject line.
