Re: So whats you feelings about the "NEW" LS1tech
Honestly, I don't like it
I've gotten hooked on VBB and PHB's ease of use and options...
The majority of sites out there use VBB, PHB and standard UBB, which makes it difficult for me to get used to UBB threads...
I happen to be a mod for LS1 (VBB), FUEL **** (PHB) and F-Body Hideout (UBB threads) and I'd much rather deal with VBB and PHB
So far, this site's flying for me , but I see some of the basic features aren't working for some reason (lots of red X's and fouled UBB code - I'm having the same problems at the Hideout)

Hey Tony- When I subscribe to a thread as a "favorite" I get an email notification from my own reply. The old software would only send an email notification when someone else replied to a thread. What's the scoop?

Do you want all replies to your favorite threads emailed to you?

Half the time the site slows down because we are still revising some of the features.
I do like the new software in term of the added features... But there are still some things that need work.

The site is looking visually better, but it is still on the slow side for me
And believe me, the more you use this new software the more you'll love some of the new features!

I don't like it either, I wish it was set up like ls1.com or htownracing.com. The tech info is still the best here though! I wish it would speed up too, slow as hell and I'm on dsl, but I'm guessing it's the servers problem.

Re: ok is it just me?
I'm on a cable modem at home and a T1 at work. I really didn't notice too much of a difference between the new and the old software as far as speed goes.

I'm on a DSL, there are moments where it's quick and moments where it takes 5 mins to load a page. Same as it was on the old board for me. Other sites load instantly, so it's not my connection...

Re: ok is it just me?
I guess people tend to post complaint threads without looking at other threads that might be similar first :p
I am updating and editing the site on and off for most of the day. Whenever I change a template or load a new .css or .php file, it momentarily pauses the site until it gets updated.
So, no more complaints about site speed until the site is completed in about a month

My feelings on the new LS1Tech
Just venting here, but I am no computer programmer and since the site changed, evrerytime I come on I have to log in. I check the box that says to keep me logged in and still everytime I am logging in.
With the old system I logged in I believe a year and half ago, and that's it. I'm sure that there's a good reason for this, someone would probably say something about the way my "cookies" are set up, but I really don't know what or where they are, or how to change them.
Moral of the story is that this is now an inconvinience, and the powers that be wanted to know our feelings. Well these are mine.
I liked the old setup, this is just a little too "crowded looking" and seems too much like other boards. A little too "cookie cutter!"
