Ability to log in in response to a post

The one thing I do NOT like about this new version (and it's not just this board running it that bothers me) is that when you are NOT logged in currently, you cannot reply to a post or create a new post.

In the previous version, you'd click to reply or click to add a new post, then it'd automatically route you to log in, then from the log in screen, it'd take you right back to the thread you were responding to or a new topic post.

Here you aren't even given the option to post unless you're logged in. This is especially troublesome when the post you're responding to is a ways down. Then you have to go back, log in, come back to the forum you want, then instead of the thread you want to reply to being 10 or 15 threads down, it's now 4 or 5 pages away as the page view once you're logged in is less than when you're not.

Those are my only annoyances with this version soo far. :)

Re: Ability to log in in response to a post

This won't help about the login/post issue but, will with the number of threads shown on one page.

If you go into your "My Home" area click on the edit button for the "Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors... " section you can change the number of threads shown on each page and the number of post shown on one page within each thread. Just go to that section and you'll see where to change the two settings. :)

I knew that, but that wasn't an issue with the last board version. Now I've got to go adjust all my personal settings in order to work with this version in order to work more efficiently.

Now there's a fluke! I've been logged in all day, and I posted as "anonymous" in the last post! Go figure!!! :eek2:
