That's just what sellers tell themselves to feel better when their stuff doesn't sell dude. Trust me, there are plenty of folks out there with money to spend. I am by no means "wealthy" per say, but I happen to be one of them. Not everyone is in the poor house right now, bro. Location, condition, mods, miles, price. THOSE are the things that will dictate the price. This car has some of these things going for it, but the same things might be cons for other buyers. The right buyer will come along eventually... Or maybe he'll get tired of waiting and just trade it in on a prius ;-)
A year ago this car would have flew off the forum - but times are tough for some, both financially and job-outlook for some. You are right that there are people sitting out there with $26,000+ sitting in a bank account, but I doubt those people are A) waiting to see how things turnout, B) aren't on this forum or C) like me, have quite a bit of money tied up in penny stocks from the MAR drop.
Either way this is a kick *** car and I'm in no rush after having my short sell fall through.
Are far as AutoX and 1/4 - I have a record of when the tires were installed and the rears are coming up on their life expectancy - they have almost 22,000 miles on them. Hard to autoX and drag race and keep that much rubber on the rears. Fronts have PLENTY of life left too!

Well I've responded to at least a dozen people who say, "I'm ready to buy, call me" Only to have them not return my call or start babbling on about gathering up money.
Serious buyers I welcome your interest.
