[Feeler] '86 GT For Trade
Not real anxious to get rid of the car but would like something a little more DD friendly. Im open to pretty much anything EFI, RWD, 2dr's, & 8cyl.
The car was originally an '82 4cyl that was converted inside & out to an '86 GT. I bought the car in Nov '09 and the 306 that was in it dropped a valve seat, beat up a piston, & took a chunk out of the head. So I bought a complete 302 out of a '94 GT from a local yard. The motor had 120k on it & had between 200-220 in every cylinder. I went through with a new oil pump, all new gaskets (cept heads) and seals. I then swapped over the intake, carb, cam, & valvetrain from the old motor. Heres the rundown on the whole car...
Engine
-freshend up stock 302 longblock
-Holley 650dp
-Performer RPM
-FRP F303
-Mallory regulator
-Moroso elect drive for h2o pump

-MSD coil
-MSD cap & guts
-stock locked out dizzy
Exhaust

-Zoom street/strip clutch
-billet alumin adj quadrant
-combo of Pro 50 & Hurst shifter
-8.8 w/ 4.10's & posi
Suspension
-stock springs with 1 coil out in rear
-aftermarket boxed uppers & lowers (not sure what brand)
The clutch is brand new & I also put a new starter on. Car has an Optima red top thats relocated to the rear w/ kill switch. Interior is clean & everything works, pw, pl, tilt, heat, radio, ect. Has Autometer tach & Pro Comp oil/water gauges. Has new dash cover.
Car came with nitrous on it when I got it (minus bottle). Currently everythings still wired/set up on the car except theres no plate. A plate & 5min and youre ready to spray.
Cars plenty strong & runs great. Its had some weight reduct too & and I was told by the previous owner it was 2,900lbs empty. With some tires it should have no problem getting in the 12's. Currently Draglites with new rubber are on the car. 165 fronts and 295/50 rears (real radial).
I bought the car to DD (& have been) but Im currently UE'd & the cars somewhat limiting my prospective employment (not driving 30-45+min w/ a carb'd V8 & 4.10's every day).
However, I wont be that bent out of shape if it doesnt go anywhere. I've got 6k+ in this car so Im not trading down to a 2k dollar POS.

I didnt list any price because Id rather try an work out a trade. I figured Id come out better trading because I know I wont get back what Ive got into it.
