I'd be skeptical about that.. as soon as you buy it you'd have to go and replace alot. Bad things happen when cars just sit.

That's just an old wives tale. Depends on how you store a car. If it was stored indoors, started every 3-4 months and driven a few miles, and the gas wasn't allowed to go bad, you should be good to go. I'd definetly replace the tires though, they might be flat spotted or dry rotted. The car isn't old enough to have all the vacume hoses rot off of it either.
