Your description is a little confusing. You either want a stock car, or a 500 HP car. The two don't exist together in the same space.
You'll actually pay more for a modified car than a stock car. The Camaro/Firebird isn't like the stuffy Euro snob crowd where untouched stock samples are highly regarded treasures. There were tons of these things made. They are everywhere. The typical F-body owner values performance mods and will pay for it. This means the stock car you want is pretty affordable. I don't think you need to spend more than $9K for a very nice stock Camaro and $11K max for a very nice stock Trans Am. You could EASILY spend thousands less if you are patient and hunt around.
Good luck hunting.

thanx. i guess what im tryin to say is.....if theres a stocker that is super flawless and low milage id scoop it for the right price so i justify modding myself. i prefer a well built na car though..or procharged car. seems alot of folks are askin top dollar for (unmolested vehicles ) lately. and when you politely chime in and let them know there 4k overpriced they hate you for screwin there thread up...lol. markets really odd..middle class fighting to keep it stable, but it simply cant.(u.s.dollar and gas) so when someone tries to benafit from it and get a slammin deal there the *******!!! id like to think that camaro is middle class right? but turning poor?iv been shopping for 4 months now. and looks like prices are actually same or higher than when i was pickin up great deals 4 yrs ago. go figure you can get sweet c5's with 50k miles and a nice cam/head for like 16k now. but a camaro?? shiiiiit.
