actually it can be. We bought a 2002 SS and it came with the 35th anniversary edition badges above the glove box. Never understood it either since we didn't order the special paint job. But it was listed on the window sticker and it had the badge on it. Don't know if all SS's got this or not.

if it's an 02 it's a 35th........just because it don't have the strips doesn't make it one......there are different versions of the 35th.......the le is a limited editiion 35th anniversary car..that's why they were numbered.

I have seen a number of 2002 camaro's that did not have any 35th badges on them at all. My family owns a Chevy dealership and I bought this one brand new with stickers and badges on it, there were 10 others on the lot that didn't have the SS or 35th on them. Just doesn't have the limited pkg or numbering couldn't afford that when I bought it.

Not true, if it is an 02 it is a 35th anniversary car. Just not the special package option. Just like my 92 Z is a 25th anniversary car. It also has the heritage stripe package, but that is not what makes it a anniversary car, just simply the year. All 92 camaros also received the 25th badge..

I agree all 02's came with the anniversary badging above the glovebox. The Z4c makes it a LIMITED EDITION anniversary car. I think it's misleading when 2002 cars are listed as 35th anniversary cars when theirs nothing really special about them. They should just state its a 2002 ss for sale. Most people tend to think its the limited edition until they click the ad and view the pics.

This car is getting a ton of free bumps over this argument. You guys should have had the discussion in my tread haha. But all 2002 Camaros = 35th Anniversary Year Cars, but not all are the 35th Anniversary Limited Editions. I agree that it sometimes can be misleading but as long as the buyer is smart enough to know what car is what, there isn't a big deal.
