Default 99 formula M6

Year: 1999
Make: Pontiac
Model: Firebird
Price: $5000
Mileage: 166000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): PA
Color: Black
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

Decided to sell my '99 formula. Its a 6 speed car with 166k miles on it. Bought it bone stock with 130k miles on it in '09. has pretty much been a non-winter/rain daily driver. Want to move on to a vette so this has got to go.
nonstock items:
SLP lid, ported TB, LS6 intake, 4.10 rear
Has a pioneer head unit and a sub
For a high mileage LS1 it barely uses any oil. runs strong and sounds good. has some typical f-body problems like piston slap on a real cold start up. I just let it warm up before I drive it and it has worked great. the front bumper is scraped up a bit from the previous owner and the hoop has a little clear coat peeling but the rest of the car looks good. The transmission has a slight grind when going in to 5th gear. clutch still feels good.
Ive taken it to the track 3 times (probably the only three times it has been to the drag strip) but not with the 4.10s, LS6 intake, or ported TB.
Before the 4.10s I would average ~24 mpg on the highway and around 18 in close commutes. I havent driven it much since I put the new rear in due to the weather.

There are many items I could include for extra (which I WILL NOT sell unless the car is sold). I have a texas drivetrain performance built T56 with both an LS6 or LS7 clutch, new slave, tick performance adj master cyl or drilled 01-02 master cyl. 30k mile LS6 with a set of real 243 (sodium filled valves) heads with comp 918 valvesprings. EPS 226/230 113 lsa cam. pacesetter long tube headers/y-pipe, flowmaster Y-merge, QTP electric cutout.

edit 3/13/12 more pictures added in posts below

Still for sale, I have some pictures of the interior now. not the best quality but I dont have a digital camera.

I have the speaker cover for the driver's door and the fuse panel cover. the speaker's tabs are broken so it just pops out when you close the door. I may just use some kind of adhesive to hold in place.

some more misc pictures:

some pics of the rear swap I did:

speedometer has been corrected for the 4.10s.

so is the rear a 10 bolt also and how many miles are on it? did you rebuild it or did a shop rebuild it. what is your asking price with the extra engine, tranny, etc.?

I cant find the for sale thread but I bought it from a user on here over the summer. it only had a couple thousand miles on it after a fresh rebuild, he pulled it out of his third gen but the rear was originally from an LT1 car. it is also coated in por-15. I dont know who rebuilt it.

I already had a list written up if I were to sell the parts separate after I sold the car.

T-56 stage 2 built by texas drivetrain performance. $1600
LS7 clutch, LS2 flywheel, and LS1 slave cylinder. $550
low mileage LS6 clutch $50
used 01-02 master cylinder with drill mod. $75
Tick adjustable master cylinder. $300
Remote bleeder. $40
Pacesetter LT headers with no emissions, TSP off-road y-pipe. $375
OEM exhaust gaskets, O2 sensors, and O2 extensions. $125
Flowmaster merge dual 3" in to single 4". $40
QTP electric cutout 4" with the cutout itself. $225
30k mile LS6 long block with, I believe, an LS2 vette oil pan. $1600
EPS 226/230 113lsa ~.600" lift cam. $375
trickflow pushrods. $125
the heads have comp 918 valvesprings installed on them.
BMR tubular k-member, black. $475
42 lb injectors. $250
poly urethane engine and torque arm mounts. $50
walbro 255lph fuel pump. $125

over $6000 worth of stuff sitting in my garage next to the car.

the heads are off the longblock. original plan was to send them to advanced induction and get their 226cc 243 headwork done. Once it was done the stock LS1 was going to be pulled out and set aside and the stock t56 was going to get sold to get some money back. Ive decided id rather have a vette.

the engine I am not sure I want to sell or not. If I get a vette I could use the heads/cam and keep the shortblock as a backup.

If you want everything, and I mean everything with the exception of the LS6 clutch and the drilled 01-02 master cyl since theres the LS7 clutch and the tick adj master cyl, I would say $9500. I am already figuring in that shipping those parts individually would run a decent amount of money, plus the hassle of shipping and dealing with people who want something for nothing so the price is pretty set in stone, I cant give it away. I paid about $8000 just in parts alone, most of which are new. If someone only wanted certain parts I could work something out.
