Default 1998 1LE Firebird $11,000

Year: 1998
Make: Pontiac
Model: Firebird
Price: $11000
Mileage: 96300
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): IA
Color: Silver
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

1998 1LE Firebird - one of 15 produced in 1998; one of two silver 1998 1LEs. F-bodies don't get much rarer than this.

Sold new at Cerritos Pontiac, Cerritos, CA. California car, super clean, NO rust. Not a single ding. Paint looks fantastic.

GM replaced the LS1 under extended warranty @ 71,000 miles (have documentation), so the engine has 22,000 miles on it.

Newer LS7 clutch. Practically brand new Hankook 275/40/17s.

Interior is in fantastic shape - no rips, tears, staining, etc. Has Hurst short-throw shifter.

Has Koni DAs, but alot of the suspension parts have been upgraded with aftermarket pieces.

The only issue with the car is the rearend leaks ever so slightly (like a penny-sized drop a month).

The video speaks for itself, I think.

Nice looking ride, but is it just me or does that thing have a seriously twisted frame...or just some messed up suspension?

Neither, it's parked on a slant in my driveway.

Yah, I want it too, looks pretty nice, GLWS. You should do a video of start-up and running as well, like the 1OTL exhaust, very rare.

Has factory installed Hurst shifter.
Sweet ride for sure. But FYI, the factory installed Hurst shifter (RPO BBS) was not available until '99. Also, are the "Ram Air" decals missing from the hood or are they just not visible in the video?

They're not on the hood. Thanks for letting me know about the shifter.

Motivated seller, brothers. Let me know if you're interested!

True, the shifter should have a rubber ****. And one more thing, only 14 were built, I had one of the 14 and sold it in 2003. This is very tempting!

Well now I heard or read somewhere (compnine, Johnny B?) that 15 were built, but one of those was built for export overseas. But heck, 1 of 14 just makes it a little more rare.

Yep, CompNine indicated that 15 were built, one had RPO Z49 Canada Export, leaving the other 14 for US consumption. It is not unusual to find data from sources that does not include "exported" cars. Not sure what color that Canadian car was though.

'98 1LE Firebird Color Breakdown:
10U / White = 1
13U / Silver = 2
41U / Black = 7
63U / SGM = 1
81U / Red = 4
