Default FS: 2002 Jetta 1.8T 240whp

Year: 2002
Make: Volkswagen
Model: Jetta
Price: $4500
Mileage: 172000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MI
Color: Black
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Front Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

In the off chance someone wants a 240whp daily that will average 28mpg easily, I'm posting my Jetta:

Selling my Jetta so I can upgrade to an M3.

2002 Jetta 1.8T GLS
171k miles
manual
black/black with leather and sunroof, heated seats and mirrors
Pioneer head unit
K04-020 turbo
Unitronic 2+ ECU
Forge 007 diverter valve
N249 delete
Eurojet street FMIC
APR turbo inlet pipe
AEM Dryflow cone filter
VF poly motor+trans mounts and BFI stage 2 dogbone
Audi TT225 exhaust manifold
Audi TT225 MAF
42DD 3" downpipe with high flow cat
stock catback with resonator deleted
Audi TT225 hybrid oil pan (aluminum sides, steel bottom, more clearance than stock)
Ground Control coilover conversion with Koni Yellow shocks (475lb front/ 350lb rear, adjustable height and rebound)
driver side Raxle
42DD A pillar gauge pod with boost and wideband AFR gauges
VR6 clutch
inline fuel pump with stock injectors and 4 bar FPR
There is more I'm just not remembering it all

transmission has 70k miles on it
timing belt and water pump done at 157k miles
brake rotors and pads also done at 157k
coilovers, inner and outer tie rods, ball joints, front control arm bushings, radiator, drivers axle done at 158k
crankshaft position sensor done at 163k or so

The hood and front bumper cover aren't in the best shape. The exterior has it's blemishes but nothing crazy other than whats mentioned. It now has BBS RC wheels on it that could be recovered. One has bad curb rash but aluminum filler could take care of that. All boost hoses are silicone with T-bolt clamps. The car runs great, it should since the only thing that hasn't been replaced is the motor.

Again I'll be very sad to see this thing go but it's the right thing for me. Hopefully someone here wants it and will finish what I started. Asking $4500

It's my daily for now, mileage is going up FYI. Previous owner put a ton of highway miles on it commuting from MA to CT. I've done the same traveling between MA and MI a few times and never had so much as a hiccup from the motor.

Nope, the stock rods and pistons are forged and have been proven to last at this power level. I wouldn't go any bigger on the stock rods but a few people have. Some cars last a while at 300+whp but I wouldn't recommend it.

I've put 17k on it as it sits and the previous owner has done at least another 20k on it. Guy I know back home was running 17psi through a GT2871 I believe for about 2 years. Personally I think you were just unlucky.

I'm moving soon and I won't have space, so it's down to $5000.

I have an 01 1.8T auto that is beat to hell. Transmission slips, coolant leaks. But i love the **** out of the car. I couldn't imagine how awesome a well maintained one would be. Great DD.

Ann Arbor. I have a place I can store it if need be but I would rather have it gone before then. I'm considering bringing it back to Boston around Christmas and having friends sell it for me if I still have it then.
