Why I'm selling it:
I just don't have the energy to continue to work on the car. With financial issues at home, and rumblings of layoffs at work, I'm going to have to let go of my prized possession as quickly as I can. The parts and work in it are worth well more than I'm asking as a whole here of course, as is always the way of things.
An out of state buyer may be ideal, primarily because getting it smogged has become impossible for me here in California. I do not have the resources available to me right now to make it smoggable. As a result, note to California buyers; you will need to have a way to smog the car, if you're interested in it. It can certainly be done and would most definitely be worth while, but as I said, I don't want to jump through the hoops to do so, which is partly why I'm offering the car up, so you would have to be responsible for the smog. Registration is up to date, but it is in need of smog which, as I just said, is part of why I'm selling it. An out of state buyer will have to be responsible for transport. I have tons of maintenance receipts, and all receipts for the parts and work listed that has been done.
Other Info:
Most of the work I've done on the car has been to get an engine that I felt was well prepared for some type of forced induction. It runs excellent, starts right up in the cold, warms up nicely, responds well, etc. I can only imagine how fun it would be if I'd gotten the supercharger/turbo on it. The last dyno it had, showed it making 416 horses at the rear wheel, and around 420 lbs/torque, unfortunately I can't seem to find the sheet now.
There is an oil leak around the oil pan area. It's slow and not much trouble, but I haven't fixed it myself because of the already mentioned lack of energy and resources.
Everything not mentioned is stock, the interior is in very good shape, with the in dash single CD player for the Monsoon sound system. The only issue is that the car has developed the common crack that so often appears on the plastic door panels of these cars. Please refer to the pictures once I get them up this weekend. The only other thing is one or two small rattles inside, plus an annoying one in the read passenger area. That one is behind the rear speaker panel, on the driver side rear passenger seat area. I'm sure it's just something loose behind the panel that can be fixed fairly easily but again, I haven't had the energy to take the panel off, fix it, and get rid of the rattle.
The exterior paint is in pretty good shape, still clean and shiny looking and all. It has its share of small dings here and there, as you might expect after 107,981 miles, but I don't think they really take anything away from it at all; still looks great.
I will edit in any details that I think need mentioning if/when they come to mind, as well as the pics/vid this weekend.
