Default 1989 Mustang Coupe LQ4

Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive

1989 Mustang Notch with 2005 LQ4. Engine has approximately 70,000 miles on it. Engine has TSP 233/239 camshaft with pushrods, valve springs and timing chain. Fresh rebuild TH350 transmission in February, has COAN 4000 stall converter. 8.8 rearend with 3.55 gears and all new urethane bushings in rear end. Interior is decent shape with B&M pro stick and Raptor shift light. All factory gauges work. Car has been my daily driver for the last two years, I've found a truck i need and the wife says a vehicle has to go so this is the one. Engine tuned with HP tuners by myself. idles and drives pretty good and WOT tuning is dialed at 12.9.

What's the 8.8 all have done to it? Aftermarket axels? Spool? Drum brake rear?

8.8 is stock axles and stock posi unit. Has new clutches and f-150 spring mod. Has new urethane bushings in all rear control arms.

With the rust on the front quarter, it makes me wonder how bad it is underneath. Any way you can get some shots of that?

I will try to get pictures this weekend of the underside if I can get into my uncles shop and get it on the lift. I can assure you there is no rust on the underside but thanks for making assumptions. The rust is strictly cosmetic on the outer fender. I opened the rust hole larger to verify the rust was not against the inner structure of the car. I pulled out several years worth of wet leaves and the inner structure is fine and there is no rust on any of the floor pans or subframes.

OK. Thanks for the extra information. I'm really interested in this car, but I'd have to come from Houston to even look at it in person.

Hopefully you didn't take the question the wrong way. I know that there can be spots of rust for different reasons, but I didn't know if this was possibly from winter driving or another reason. Thanks for the clarification either way.
