I unexpectedly came across a C6Z I couldn’t pass-up......so I’m testing the waters for my 2003 C5 Z06 nicely set-up for serious street or circuit track road racing. Car is located in Houston, TX.

This car is fresh, well sorted, reliable, and fast. Many new and recently refurbished $$ parts. Nothing worn-out or used up. Everything has been freshened / upgraded and otherwise made ready for an active 2015 open track / HPDE season. Car has lapped Texas World Speedway in the 154’s with an instructor driving, and I’ve managed a few mid-155’s myself…..so it’s a well balanced package...and very easy to drive quickly. Andy Lally drove the car at an instruction event at TWS last year and was very complimentary on the cars overall balance and braking too.

Awhile back I purchased a complete drivetrain “drop-out” from a low-miles (15 k miles) 2003 Z06 (fully documented), and it has been recently installed in this car…just because. Included were the transmission, torque tube, differential, and axles. Before installation, I had my ASE mechanic upgrade the transmission to Stage 3 specs, which included bronze shift fork pads, billet syncro slider keys, and carbon rebuild kit. For good measure, he also installed a new main shaft, main shaft bearing, and new 1-2 syncros.

At the same time I installed a new McLeod RST dual-disk clutch and a Fidanza 12# flywheel. Clutch / fly was zero balanced as an assembly so drive train is wonderfully smooth. Up-shifts / down-shifts are a joy. This transmission and clutch combo should be pretty-much bullet-proof for many miles to come. As I said, I was expecting to continue to drive and enjoy the car for at least a few more years, so it was being updated / prepared accordingly...till I found the C6.

Car has been outfitted for the Texas summers, with engine oil / water, transmission, differential, and power steering coolers. Runs cool even with the hottest track temps. A vented / extractor style hood is also available.

Stock 2005 CTS-V LS6 crate motor installed 25 K miles ago. It is 100 % stock and has never been opened, except for installation of a Melling M365 HP / HV oil pump. Also has a 3 quart Canton accusump with electric valve.

Original stock appearance - inside and out. The interior is unmolested and includes all original safety and convenience features which are fully functional, including HVAC. Mellinium Yellow paint. Chassis has 39 K miles and has never been shunted. Current Texas safety / emissions / registration stickers. Ready to drive cross-county if necessary.…no worries.

Asking $ 25 k. No trades.

May consider de-modding some of the road race gear if buyer wants a street only car.
