For sale is my Unique & Rare Un-Restored 1969 RS/SS Camaro A/C Convertible!!!

It has a very interesting history and has survived by being stored most of its life since 1979 in a garage. So I will not call this a barn find but more like a garage find. The car is a great candidate for either a factory restoration or a super candidate for a Pro Touring / Resto Mod type restoration!!!!

First and for most, there are over 250 pictures available at the link below along with some VIN and Cowl Tag Details about the car, so please take a minute to look over all the pictures.

History:

I purchased the car over 10 years ago from a personal friend that needed to sale the car. He owned the car since the early 80’s and knew the original owner of the car so I knew the history of the car before purchase it. The car was purchased new in Miami, Florida and the original owner of the car did not drive much given his falling health. The odometer show only 34850 Miles but I do not have any way of documenting that other then when you look over the car you will be able to concluded yourself that it is a low mileage survivor and has been stored for a very long time. In addition, I’ve known of the car for an extremely long time and can provide (to serious buyers only), the contact information of the second owner to discuss details of the car if needed. I also know that the car has been stored in a garage starting in about 1978 when the original owner past away.
The Camaro did have some light body damage on the driver’s door and lower rear valance panel were the original owner backed into a parking pylon then open the door to see what happen and pulled forward and damage the door.
As you can see for the photos the car does show were the second owner started the minor repairs but did not complete them in the early 80’s when he purchased the car.

Body:

Amazingly, the car does not have any rust issues WHAT SO EVERY! And because it has been sitting in a garage for most of its life it does not have any of the usual rust issues in the rear quarts, lower front fenders, floor pans, and the trunk pan. The car retains all of its original 1969 GM SHEET METAL!!!!! (No replacement panels) Except for the drives side door skin. The original door was repaired back in the early 80’s using the old slap hammer method were they put a lot of hole in the door and then pulled them out. I did not like the repair and had the door skin put on. After having the door skin installed I decided that was not for me either so I searched for several years for an original rust free drives door that I do have and will go with the car.
As you may have noticed in the pictures the alignment of the body panels and body lines on the car are extremely exceptionable for an original factory assembled car. This is why I did not want to disassemble the car further. In addition the front windshield has never been removed for the car either which is almost unheard of these days.
The underside of the convertible floor pans is also in amazing shape with no rust and almost no surface rust either (see pictures)

Drive Train:

The car retains its Number Matching & Vin Matching (HE coded) 300 HP 350 Chevrolet engine along with the matching Power Glide Transmission and 10 bolt rear end.
I have taken several pictures of the engine stamping. The pictures are a little hard to see because of the stampings being a little light on the block but they are there. The engine and transmission have never been out of the car and as you can see from the pictures it retains almost all of its factory bolts, clips and small hardware which is a small miracle in its self given that the car is over 45 years old.
The car is an original factory A/C Convertible car which is another rare added bonus to this unique car.

Interior:

The car was born with the Medium Green Standard Interior. Some of the interior has been removed from the car by the previous owner but I do have all the pieces and parts. The dash of the car has never been apart or disassembled. Although I could not get good pictures of the very well know rust issues under the dash I can assure you that there is absolutely no rust on the underside of it. The seat and seat covers are original to the car and are in excellent working condition with now missing hardware. Although the seats are faded from time, one look at them and you can tell there are no rips, tears, or disfigurement of the seat cushions. Which is another tell sign of the car being stored for many years.

The car does have the optional convertible power top and does still work great when a batter is installed.

This car is a true survivor and has been tucked away & stored for most of its life. It’s been stored in such a way that it has preserved the car with mostly all its original parts. If you truly know about 1969 Camaro’s then you understand how rare it is to find a 1969 RS/SS Convertible A/C Camaro in this condition that has not been completely disassembled and/or restored with cheap China parts and sheet metal.

There are no disappointments with this car...it is in amazing survivor shape with NO RUST & MOSTLY ALL GM SHEET METAL! It will save someone thousand of dollars in restoration cost because it does not any rust repairs

1969 RS/SS Convertible Camaro’s are very desirable! This car may not be for average person just looking for a 69 Camaro but for those who are truly Enthusiasts, Builders, and Car Collectors will understand the relevance of a car like this one

We are open to trades but BE REALISTIC....I could list things we are interested in but I don't know what you have. It has to be something as cool and nice as this car. I am not interested in boats, race cars, campers or motorcycles.

I can trade up or down with cash going either way!
