2004 RX8 6 speed manual

This is a 2004 Mazda Rx8. I purchased this car to do an LSX swap, but I am looking to go into a different direction. Car is Silver in color and when last titled the car had 102,000 Miles on it. Was told it had an engine failure, but I have no idea to what extent. No real dings to speak of, the spoiler has bad clear coat peel and there some paint chips in the rear bumper (See pic). Overall, the body in good shape and the interior is very good shape. Car also has no battery with it. Have title in hand.
I see no reason you couldn’t just purchase a used 13B motor and go if that is your desire.

$1800. Car is located in Dayton, OH

VIN: JM1FE173840124170

The apex seals are probably toast, as that's the common issue for engine failures in these things.

no necessarily. Ive picked up a few and each time (four times really) it was the rubber oring. when they overheat, they blow their "headgasket." pretty easy fix.
