98 Trans Am. 90k Miles. 7000$ LOW PRICE
Year: 1998
Make: Pontiac
Model: Trans Am
Price: $7500
Mileage: 91000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MD
Color: Black
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
A lot of the mods are in my signature. The car will run a high 11 with drag radials. The best I ran it on 275 street tires was 12.1 / 1.7 60ft, I was not able to floor it until I was about 60 feet out. I would spin on the street tires if I left too hard. This was at least 6 years ago. This was before the steering rack/weight reductions and some other mods. So it should easily be in the 11s now with just bolt-ons/stall. The stall is nasty, I have never been able to hook this car up. It leaves 2 thick black tire lines even from a roll. The transmission shifts amazing. The exhaust sounds amazing. I get compliments all the time for how the car sounds. The car weighed in at 3300lbs on the track scale. A lot of the weight was taken off of the nose of the car. The car still has stock internals and is a prime candidate for a camshaft!!

There is the asking price worth of parts on this car. The stall/trans/cooler alone ran over $3,300.
There is nothing mechanically wrong with this car. It runs and drives great. The motor is very strong. Garage kept. Ive even scrubbed the underside of this car. The only two things wrong with it (which I will try to fix if I get time) are the headlights don't pop up every time(the lights come on still). This is just a bad connector. And the driver side window motor died. This is a cheap replacement. The car needs tires so I priced it with that in mind. The paint is oK for its age. I still have all the parts I took out of the car if you wish to put back in the AC or seats. The fan still blows so the car stays pretty cool inside during summer. The manual steering rack drives fine in my opinion. That is the point of the 800 dollar manual rack. It is geared to be easy to steer. I only notice it when I have to park. Once you have any speed it feels like the power steering did. This is not the same as taking the pump off the stock rack, those are hard to drive. If you don't like it for some reason, you can easily put power steering back in and sell the flaming river rack for some money.
I will edit this as I think of more things to add.

Some things people ask me about -
-The manual steering rack drives fine. That is the point of the 800 dollar manual rack. It is geared to be easy to steer. I only notice it when I have to park. -The stall drives great. You can daily drive this stall. This is not even a high stall for these cars. It has a lockup clutch so you go into overdrive past 45mph.
-You can put AC back in. I have all the parts. It will be a lot of weight to put back in the car, and the condenser goes up in front of the radiator. I put my trans cooler up there. They would both fit. But it would have less airflow with the ac condenser in the middle.
serious inquiries only please. Car is located in lusby MD
7000$ OR best reasonable offer.
Dont try to lowball me. This is already one of the lowest priced cars on the board!

I expected more interest on this board?? Is the economy this bad? Tax time soon.
If I get a nice day this weekend I will wash it and take a startup/walkaround video. Maybe even a cruise video.

I would have expected it to get more interest too. May be the location? I'm picking up a '99 with about 11k more miles than yours for $5k as soon as he pulls it out of winter storage and that's up in New York. But that's a completely stock car and I'm getting an absolute deal I think

Good luck, and spring is coming so the market should pick up then.

$7k certainly seems fair for an 11 second car with under 100k miles/nice condition/fresh trans/clean title. I think the issue might be that some of the modifications are a bit polarizing (manual steering, AC delete, ABS delete, etc.) Sure, those things can be reversed but some folks might not feel inspired to do that right out of the gate with a new-to-them purchase. So it's just a matter of finding someone who appreciates exactly how it is, and is somewhere close to the east coast. The market is also pretty dead this time of year, sometimes it takes giveaway pricing to move a performance car in January unless you're in the deep south/southwest.
Good luck, and spring is coming so the market should pick up then.

I could certainly put PS back in the easiest, I just dont have time, which is another reason for selling. Maybe if its still not gone after spring I might do that one first. Selling the manual rack separately would put more money in my pocket at the end of the day.

Some people seem bummed out by the stock TA hood. Well, if you buy it you can put whatever hood on it you want!! Especially for such a low price. Honestly the wsq hood didnt fit well and was waavy. It was the first batch they made. So I sold it.
