2002 Chevy Camaro SS Convertible 6spd manual V8 LS1 T56 for parts or restoration. 26k or so original miles, I am the 2nd owner. Car was stored garaged in Connecticut before I had it shipped out here. Never driven in snow there, no rust. All plastic in great shape due to not being in AZ sun for 15 years. Interior is near perfect.
Car has a salvage title, I was t-boned in an accident recently and I've attached before and after pictures.
I've put my heart and soul into maintaining this car. I would handwash it with love every Saturday, including putting leather conditioner on the seats. It was my baby. Real torn up about this loss but I need a new car ASAP and bought a 2017 Camaro SS.
I am willing to part out the car but will discount if you take the entire car off my hands.
STRONG factory freak LS1 and T56 6 speed manual transmission. I drove over a dozen 4th gen F-bodies before buying this one and it felt much faster than even the slightly lighter hardtop coupes. Stock is rated 345hp and 365 ft/lb. Has the genuine SLP factory SS (Super Sport) package. Engine ran strong, never any issues. Tranny shifted smooth and firm and true. I have kept every original part I replaced or upgraded.
MODS/MAINTENANCE (I have receipts for all parts and labor):
Twin disk McCleod race/street clutch, not too stiff but rated to hold 700+ WHP/WTQ. Very fast shifting.
Upgraded MGW short throw shifter. Smooth and precise.
Upgraded tick master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder to prevent mis-shifts at high RPM.
Texas Speed 1 7/8th inch headers with new OEM gaskets.
Speed Engineering customer TRUE DUAL 3" exhaust headers to rear exit with race mufflers and quad tips.
(Also have original SLP Loud Mouth 2 catback exhaust)
8 new NGK iridium spark plugs and new taylor race spark cables.
$800 pioneer double din touch stereo with android auto and apple carplay. VERY high-tech and useful!
2 amps, 1 for subwoofer, 1 for 4 componet speakers. all pioneer and very good stuff. I used to be a pro sound guy.
chrome wheels, 1 has a hairline crack on driver side front where I was hit.
brand new polyurethane motor mounts.
new high performance air filter.
newer brakes, pads, and rotors when I bought the car at 18k miles.
SLP BlackHawk LS1 air intake lid. best one! also has LS6 intake. both factory stock.
4 new Nitto 555 G2 275 square stance(all around) tires.
and much more i'm sure i'm forgetting.
oil always changed with factory recommended mobile 1 and k&n filter.
Engine and tranny would make a FANTASTIC swap or project car or dune sand buggy, whatever.
Car was in perfect LIKE NEW condition mechanically, again, less than 30,000 miles.
Would consider trade for a good, fun manual car maybe plush cash to teach my lady how to drive stick in.
