>>>'98 Z28: Cam, Built Tranny, Stall, LT's!!
Up for sale is my '98 Z28. It has 103k miles, with a TSP Torquer (original version, 233/233 .595/.595 112lsa), pacesetter coated LT's, ORY, and a hooker catback. The transmission was rebuilt last summer by ARD, it's a stage 2 4L60E built to hold ~600 rwhp. It had a Midwest torque converter in it but was rebuilt the same time as the tranny, it stalls to 3500rpms. The cam install was done by a friend who worked for Texas Speed, in his garage. Dyno tuned by Texas Speed and made 365 rwhp and 358rwtq.
The only suspension mods i have are BMR boxed sfc's and lca's, and a strut tower brace. I made a box to fit on the rear deck and covered it with matching vinyl, it houses a 12" Kicker Comp VR and a Kicker 400.1 amp. All of the wires on the box have quick releases under the rear panel so the box can be pulled out if youre going to the track.
I've only taken it to the track a few times, the fastest I've been so far is a 12.9 at 107 mph, with a 2.2 60', and that was with street tires. Throw some DR's or slicks on there and you should be mid- to low-12's easy.
The car is in excellent shape, thought it does have a few scratches and dings from living in the dorms. The paint still looks really good thought, and i get many compliments on it. Most of the scratches go away with a good coat of wax. No mechanical problems whatsoever, starts right up every day and never misses a beat, plus its gets 24mpg on the highway. The interior is in great shape, the seats are a little worn but no cracks, tears or stains. The only appearance mods i have are chrome emblems, camaro filler, whistler mod, and black billet grill.
Pics
Dyno Video-this was with the loudmouth exhaust, the hooker catback is much quieter
