Default Ultimate Daily Driver LS1 F-body for sale.

(sold)

2000 Trans Am. Pewter, 6 speed, WS6 clone, 70k miles.
My car was built as the ultimate no-compromises daily driver. No compromises with power, durability, drivability, or fuel economy. This car has been a rolling test bed and has been chronicled in its many forms on LS1 Tech over the past 4 years: Stealth, torque, all-out hp and most recently, max power on 87 octane.

I have planned on going forced induction for quite some time. I recently sold my 508 rwhp engine and built an even more expensive motor with the plans to add an APS twin turbo setup. The forged 347 was built to handle over 1000 rwhp. In N/A form, the new engine makes 440 rwhp/405 rwtq on 87 octane. 9.2: 1 static compression ratio. 26 mpg on highway, 16 mpg in city. Superb handling as a result of the full Sam Strano spring, bar, shock package.

I have over $22,000 in mods (plus the cost of the car itself). I will sell the car for $19,500 including the Fikse wheels and Mamo-ported FAST 90 with NW TB. I will sell the car for $16,700 with stock WS6 wheels, LS6 intake and stock TB. In that form, the car makes 415 rwhp/395 rwtq. Here are all the upgrades and their new cost:

Engine 2k miles:
HKE forged 347 short-block with Ross power-adder pistons -15.8cc dish, Ackerly & Childs nitrous/turbo rings, Scat I-beam rods, ARP main studs, ARP head studs. Built to handle over 1000 rwhp: $3750
LS6 PCV valley pan conversion: $159
Cloyes double roller timing set with Torrington bearings: $159
Comp Cam 224/230 .609/.604 113LSA +2 turbo cam: $389
Ported LS6 oil pump: $149
Manton pushrods: $150
Comp R lifters: $239
AFR 225 heads with 8019 spring upgrade. Milled to 59cc: $2675
Yella Terra Ultra Light 6645 1.7 shaft-mounted rockers: $409
FAST 90mm intake with porting by Tony Mamo: $1375
Nick Williams 90mm throttle body: $377
ASP under-drive pulley with belts: $278
UPD 85mm air lid: $125
2002 Z06 85mm MAF: $149

Exhaust:
Kooks 1 ” long tube stainless headers: $966
Custom 3” off road y-pipe with Burns high velocity merge-y-collector: $400
4” stainless cutout with 4” QTP electric valve: $270
SLP dual dual 3” cat-back: $395
B&B Tri-Flow quad exhaust tips: $150

Transmission 2k miles:
T-56 with Six Speeds Inc stage II build. $1500
Spec stage 3 clutch and PP: $426
Ram billet steel flywheel: $239
McLeod adjustable master cylinder: $329
Hurst shifter with Lou’s short stick: $50

Rear end:
GM 10-bolt with genuine GM 3.73 gears. $300

Suspension/brakes/wheels/tires:
Sam Strano 1.2” lowering springs: $269
Koni 4/4 single adjustable shocks, front/rear: $848
Strano 35mm front sway bar: $199
UMI adjustable poly-rod PHB: $139
1LE lower control arms: $100
Brembo blank rotors front/rear: $150
Akebono pads front/rear: $150
Fikse FM10 wheels 17x9, 17x10.5: $2800
Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval 275 40 17 tires front: $350
Nitto 555R drag radials 315 35 17 tires rear: $350

Misc:
Genuine GM WS6 hood, radiator support: $1000
Racetonix plug and play fuel system: $249
Raptor shift light: $50
Optima red top battery: $175

I will sell the car as it stands for $19,500 including the Fikse wheels and Mamo-ported FAST 90 with NW TB. I will sell the car for $16,700 with stock WS6 wheels, LS6 intake and stock TB. The car can be driven cross-country and will run as fast as most *****-out heads/cam cars, but only on 87 octane. I also have a new APS twin turbo kit that is still in the box, unopened as it came from APS that I will have for sale. I also have a brand new (still in the box) BMR k-member that I can sell separately. These were to go on my car, but I have run out of time/interest to complete the project. I would like to sell the car complete as it stands, but if the right buyer does not come around, I will part out the car and return it to stock. Any questions, please ask.

Good luck Pat, I am sure someone will take this off your hands. Do you have some new future plans?

Patrick, do you have any sound clips of the car with the cheaper setup? The one with the 224/230 cam? I'm curious to see how civilized the idle is..

I don't have one, but I'll take the camera outside and record a new idle clip as soon as I can. It's more civilized, but it still sounds healthy.

Would you consider selling the car with the FM10's and the LS6 intake and stock TB? If so how much would you want for it?

$18,500 for the car with the Fikses, LS6 intake, and stock TB. This is the most boost-ready configuration. Just add a supercharger or turbo and make up to 1000 rwhp.

Just a minor one...hit a deer early one morning going about 30 mph. No real body damage, just some fresh paint on the front end.

Here's another bump for you....happen to see this car on a business trip to Texas. It's SWEET

Anyone in the market for an F-Body who planned on modding it should be all over this deal.

Good luck Pat...
