Gauging Interest: Project for sale 64 Chevelle
Bought the car last year for an LS1/T56 swap. It was a running driving vehicle when I bought it, but tore it down shortly after to start the swap and to clean it up a little and to repaint it. The car was in very good condition, but not with out issues. It had rust problems in a few places, I have fixed some of them but not all. It had a 283/700R4 in it when I got it, the engine is gone but I still have the 700R4. The rear end was completely rebuilt by the previous owner with new bearings, seals and posi unit (I belive it's an Eaton). I have a pull out engine and 6 speed transmission out a 98 Camaro. The engine and transmission had 63,000 miles on them. I put new rod and main bearings in the motor along with a Com Cam 228/230 .571/.573, ported LS6 oil pump, LS2 timing chain, ARP main studs, ARP rod bolts, ARP headstuds and all new gaskets/seals. I also have a set of TEA 1.5 heads with 64cc chambers that have 918 springs installed and an LS6 intake manifold. The wiring harness for the engine/tranny I repinned to 99+ style and deleted the emission wiring, I also have an ECM out of 2001 Camaro that has alll the emission stuff deleted. I have started on mods for the engine/tranny, i raised the transmission tunnel up about 1.5 inches to clear rthe tranny, I used stock F-body engine mounts for the engine welded to the front crossmember. Basically you will get all the swap stuff I have plus the car obviously, the only things I dont have for the car are the hood ( was going to install fiberglass one), the front seats ( came with bench, wanted buckets), and the exterior side trim ( was goin for smoothed look). Anyway, I just lost motivation to complete the project and wondering if there was any interest. I need to get $12,000 for everything to recoup some of my time and money. Serious inquiries only, price is non-negotiable
