Default OK whats wrong with my car....

Besides being: LT1, 4 door, 4200lbs,ect.... (for you smart asses out there.)

Ive just started to notice that after i go for a drive, turn the car off, and turn it back on. The trip Odometer will be at less mileage then when i turned it off.

Example: Drove from work to Orange. Left work with 8.6 miles. Arrived in Orange with 18.1 miles. Shut car off then turned it back on. Read out was 15.6 miles

Another one: Was i left Orange with 15.6 miles. Arrived home with 37.5 miles. Turned the car off then back on and read out 36.3 miles

So wtf is this form of black magic? This happen to anyone else?
