wow this was insane so i was on my way home from the lvcfo meet tonight and im cruisin on the freeway and i see a black ss. cruised past him, sounded nice, noticed a guage pod, figured it was turbo'ed or something. anyways so i go and merge onto the 215, he is behind me, goes into the right lane and gets up front. we are going about 80 now on this turn merging into the 215. so we get on the 215, and this guy takes off. and when i say takes off i mean this thing had a jet engine on the back and he ******* flew away. i couldnt believe the sound of this thing, he quickly gained a good 1/8 mile on me ( i was stuck behind some stupid passat) and i could still hear his car like it was right next to me. had to have electric cut outs? that was car was amazing. who the hell are you anyone on here??!?!

i love the sound of a turbo ls1. if it werent for the damned clearance issues, i'd have an sts kit and be bitching about tuning it already.

STS kits suck unless you like pulling oil 10 ft and charge piping for days and adding a bunch of clutter under your car and starving the turbo for air because they use a rubber hose that shrinks when you get on it because the turbo is trying to suck air thats not there yet. Also if you like dyno queens that don't put down track time. STS kits just plain suck!

I don't know man, there was a local with a STS setup that broke a **** ton of people off. Don't think he made it to the track, but the car was pretty damn fast on street tires with the setup. I know he post maybe he can get you some info.
I know people who suck filters shut on front mount setups. I guess those are shitty also, you can always modify stuff to make it work, just ditch the rubber and buy a bigger filter with a metal insert.
I wouldn't have an issue with running one, unless it was a Monsoon storm in AZ.
