Haha I've raced at Santa Rosa. Nice track...

Bakersfield is the closest. There is a bunch of tracks down in L.A. that aren't much further.

There are tracks at Bakersfield, real pain to get to from SB, in L.A. there is Irwindale 1/8 mile, Pomona Raceway at the fairgrounds, and there is The dragstrip at California Raceway.

I have seen drags at Famoso, nice track. Pomona does not hold as many events, I know there is alot of racing during the Super Chevy Show and any GM powered car can enter that. My buddy races Buttonwillow and Willow Springs alot, and I have road raced at California Speedway, that is alot of fun especially when the race part of the large oval.

If you want to get 20+ runs in for $105, get in on the private event at Famoso on Nov 22nd..It's a great way for you to get in a lot of runs instead of the typical 2-3 you usually get

Yeah right, There is Irwindale which is 1/8th track and California Speedway which is a Trashy Track that only opens maybe 1 time a month. Pomona does not hold street legals and have not for over like 8 years.

Fermoso I hear is a really great track. I know a lot of people that go up there. There is a lot of prep that goes into it.

famoso is a great track prepping is great... and if someone brakes they usually clear it up fast... from sb you would take 101 north to 46? east... there is a test and tune night coming up nov 8-9 and i believe they have it scheduled as west coast shootout north vs. south... it's 15 dollars to spectate and an extra five to race i believe... either way twenty bucks

Famoso's event on Nov 8-9th is for imports only. No domestics allowed. I already tried.

There are only four tracks left in SoCal that let us race.

http://www.californiaspeedway.com/ 1/4 mile in Fontana
http://www.famosoraceway.com/ 1/4 mile just north of Bakersfield
http://www.irwindaleraceway.com/ 1/8 mile in Irwindale
http://www.baronadragway.com/ 1/8 mile in Lakeside

I heard there are some parking lot races at Qualcom Stadium in San Diego, too?
