I plan on shopping around You can help, I'll give you free rides for the rest of your life

If SRJ helped me with this project we wouldn't be thinking about the swap, we would be driving the car with the swap.

Aside from the non-fbody conversion options...I've seen several LT1 fbody rollers for sale for cheap. You should consider it. Easy swap.

I second that.

On a budget:
Stock bottom end
Stock, unmolested 243's heads
Big cam
LS6 intake
LT's

Call it a day.

Don't get me wrong I would do a FD in a second if I had the money.

Rollers are like $10k and I believe that is ridiculous.

On that note, FC it is.

Ive owned a 93 TT and they are very nice. I considered doing this but the company that sold the conversion stuff wanted to rape your *** for 6K...amazed me how someone could fab something up and then think the thing was made of gold.
Anyway if you can get it done this cheap...do it..they are fun cars.

That is most likely the Hinson kit. **** is expensive as hell.

Would be the kit that I use.
Then I would have to wire it, and make an exhaust.

If it were me I wouldnt do it unless it were and FD, but it would be a light car and quick.

I dont know much about the RX7s but can the rear hold up to the torque that an LS1 puts out?

Yeah, most people like the FD.

I like the FC too for apparently some odd reason.
The rear end that came in the Turbo II cars was great and can handle like 500hp with no problem.
