Torn tie rod end boots.

This past weekend I decided to get the Camaro up in the air and rotate the tires. While doing that, I might as well check the suspension, steering, and what have you. Noticed that the outer tie rod end boot was torn and the upper ball joint looked kinda flat. The first 2 pictures are the driver side, the second 2 is the passenger side. I'm thinking I'm just going to buy 2 new outer tie rod ends with the option to grease, and not too sure what I'm going to do with the upper ball joint boots. Since I work for napa, I can get good tie rod ends for a darn good price.

I was told when I got my car aligned that the boot doesn't matter much, it is only a dust boot. The grease is actually sealed inside? I dunno, but mine look like that too.

i wouldnt worry about them unless you are seeing play in them when ya checkem or if your hearing any noise or popping.they are only dust boots.

Mine are like that and i feel my car wanting to lean left if i don't move the steering wheel a bit.

You can buy polyurethane outer tie rod boots at Autozone. I replaced mine with them. I still have the stock rubber ones too.
