A little bit of info to those who were fired/laid off (CA employees only, I don't know about any other states): your employer must pay you all due wages up to the day employment was terminated, on the day employment was terminated.
For example, you were laid off on Wed. but not paid until Fri., you are entitled to those two extra days wages.
If you gave 72+ hours notice, the same applies if your last day is beyond the 72 hour notice.
