Default Hmmm radar detectors

What is the best one that people recommend?

I don't really speed but I am planning some trips and for cruises it would be nice.

Let me know what you guys think?

Yeah I use those too very well, hence no tickets and almost 10 years of driving, been rear ended a couple times, otherwise squeeky clean record.

My friend has an escort 9500i and works really good, you can save spots on the unit so it doesnt go off at the same place you pass by everyday. The V1 is another one, picks up everything, but it goes off all the time and cant save spots so it goes off non stop, way too sensitive. Good for open highways though. Go with the escort 9500i and kiss all tickets goodbye, hes had it for over a year and has never gotten a ticket with it. Worth the money.

Adam, I have a Valetine1 and love it. I have also heard alot of good things about the 9500. Main difference is that you dont have the arrows on the 9500 like the Valentine1. I drove to Arizona this weekend (in my wifes car and forgot to pack the radar detector) I ended up getting pulled over going 85 in the Arizona desert. I think it cost about $240.00 to pay the fine. Either choice will pay is a wise one and will pay for itself, Imho it is the best investment you can buy for your car to keep you out of trouble.

i would definitely recommend you a passport escort 8500 x50...
people say that it competes with v1 and its ratings are actually pretty good...
I actually got my brother 1... he says it works good although he doesnt even speed...

u can get one on ebay in the range of $200...

the V1 is perfect for open road driving away from the city, my friend has both the 9500i and the v1, the v1 is always going off, like non stop. The 9500i to me does a better job recognizing radar strength to go off or not, plus the 9500i can save locations where the detector always goes off. My friend has had both and he sold the v1 cause it got annoying.
