Like others above it plugs in back of the radio taking the place of the CD changer. Just have to hit the Aux button on the radio to use it.
Here's one:

Wow someone would pay $70 for something that should only cost $5-10. I was cruising through the appearance section and in the most unique mod thread, one guy wired up a headphone jack to the Aux input and mounted it next the the cig lighter then he can plug in any MP3 player, parts at radio shack won't be much just taking the time to wire it up.

What people haven't been telling you about the iSimple/iPod2Car adapters is that they only work on 2000 and up headunits. 1999 and older headunits do not work with the various AUX INPUT converters unless the vehicle came equipped with a tape headunit and optionally a external CD changer.
Since my car is a '99, I actually bought a broken '01 headunit and did a Frankenstein thing using parts from my old one. So now I have a '01 headunit with a '99 CD reader. I routed the iSimple wire to where I keep my iPod, and I only have to physically look at it to change the playlist. Volume control is done through the headunit (with no quality issues), and you can change the tracks and fast forward/rewind using the stock headunit controls and stock steering wheel controls (if you have them).
Except it's ghetto since you have two volume controls, and the MP3 player doesn't charge up on it's own. It works but you get what you pay for.
