Default vehicle sales tax
does anyone know if the CA sales tax for vehicles applies to used cars only or is it on all cars bought here?

what about registration costs? it'll cost me about $400 to register out of state in OK. what can you expect for CA fees?

Everything depends on the purchase price of the car. Search the CA DMV and you'll find a calculator on there.
