Performance Shops in Phx, Az
So I just moved to Phoenix and I am looking for a performance shop in the area that can do a few things for me. Most of the things I could probably do but considering my limited amount of space, time, and tools I need a shop to do them for me. I am looking to have a minor rebuild on my engine as well as a header and cam package installed. I have $2000 to spend but would like to get a return on my investment through good craftsmanship and great customer service. So if anyone in the area here knows of a good shop please by all means send the name and the contact info my way. Thanks in advance and I hope to get into the car scene around here shortly

P.S.
If anyone knows of any place that does re-polish work on wheels that would be helpful as well.

Top Gear is a one man show. Sean does all of the estimating, parts purchasing, and installing. The fact that he is busy only proves that he is a reliable place to have work done. Not to discount the guy that works out of his garage but it's usually worth the wait for a professional, especially at a place with a track record like Top Gear.

All of these shops can take care of you. JuicedTA is more than qualified as well. I have used Pro Dyno in the past for welding work with excellent results. If you are near the NW side of town I will throw my name out there as well.

need work done
I usually hang out on the corvette forum (screen name sleepeyredhead) and came across this post... I tried sending you a PM but your mailbox is full and won't accept anymore messages so I will just ask it here.
If what you stated above is possible, I have a 2000 Corvette convertible; it has an A4 with a 2.73 diff. I would like to swap it for a Z06 or comparable diff with 3.42 gears.
I live in Tucson, and don't know any shops to trust, or anyone with a Vette to ask. The only quotes/info I have received is from ECS (East Coast Supercharging), who did my tune. They quoted me $1749 installed including a new Z06 diff & pcm programming (same as on their website). Or a used diff & install for about half that. But, I would have to drive clear across the country to do this.
To tell you the truth I am in the dark about all this. Prices, install prices, etc. I don't know who to trust or where to go. If you could give me ANY guidance, help, or info on where to go and who could do it, or even if you could do it.
Such as where to get a good used diff (or a new one) at the lowest possible price for either (including install), who and when (and how long it would take) to install.
I would truly appreciate it.
Thank you so much,
Michael Stephens
