Default Can any local builder build me 8.8 rear

Is there any local shops that can build me a 8.8 rear end and make all the correct brackets n acces.if i supplied the rear?

8.8's are usally a cheap build in your garage rear. that way you save some cash. if you have a shop build it your most likely ganna pay what you would pay for a 9" or 12 bolt. do to it being a custom build rear. better off getting the parts doing it yourself.if you do find a shop let us know what it runs. ima build my own once im done with my swap.

Im working on one right now just trying to fab up the housing. I'm using one from a Fox body mustang, as soon as I'm done I can walk you through it.

Are you going 4 link, mini 4 link or stock suspension?

If you know how to weld or know someone who does then you can save yourself a bit of money by doing it yourself. Cut the old brackets off the 10bolt rear and weld them in the exact same location on the 8.8. I believe you need to grind a little on the backing plates so the ABS sensors will fit. Don't forget the custom U-joint you're going to need.

As for the torque arm bracket. That will need to be setup properly, usless you're going with a 4-link setup.

I had an 8.8 in my 98 Z28 and loved it.

Hey this is my buddys shop www.bigheadcars.com he is a good fab guy and I know he can do the brackets for you.
