I have a funny situation..... There is this guy with a 06-09 civic SI that works with my GF. He keeps telling her that her Z is slow and he will take it down easy. I know those are 190hp stock. It's a 4 door and I've never heard it, only seen pics on her FB. So what would u guys think it would take a Civic SI to pull away from her. I told her I'll run em with her car, she insist that she wants to embarrass him and do it herself, but now all his friends are saying that his car is really fast and she would loose, and she is scared now. I told her not to. Specially a 4 door rice Rocket.

I think umm beat him in a bone stock 3G lol

u never know.. those new si's can be pretty quick.. they get cammed and tuned.. lsd trans.. they can move .. but at redline when their vtec kicks in..

if you can hook and pull away 3-4 cars from the hole.. you should be fine.. the vtec wont be able to get you.. just my 2cents

i had a 98 teggy w a spoon engine take me only after 120mph on my bmw e30.. only cause my suspension was too stiff to be on freeway/street

Probably. Even if it's true, I wouldn't be ashamed to loose to a built Honda. 100lbs with hundreds of HP. That's some quick Min rice there

I owned a 2007 Civic SI 4dr before my Z28. :D

A stock K20Z3 pushes approx 183hp to the wheels.

They are fun cars to go canyon carving but still slow as fawk from a straight line.

Yea man. I wouldn't put so much money In one to go low 13's. (the si) I think the sound is really annoying too, wouldn't trade the muscle sound for one.

They need a hell of a lot done to them as stated, unless its fully built with a turbo i wouldn't worry about it

Its funny theres a thread like this.. I was just at king motorsports.. not a SI but same motor prety much in a RSX put down 554 hp i wanna say or something like that.. So if done right yes they can be fast but most are around 200hp and are piss slow like you say lol.. just run him and see what hes got i guess lol..
