Default Az guys...how to title a lost title car.

Hi everyone,
I've been kinda lurking for a little while, but I now have an issue I wanted to ask for everyones help.
I bought a 02 camaro to use as a donor car for an LS swap in my 83 T/A. The days after I got it I had a TON of overtime scheduled and worked 16 straight. Somewhere in the middle of all that the title disappeared for it before I could get it put in my name. I contacted the owner and he refused to get me another, even after I offered him $100!!! Basically he said too bad, it was my problem after he agreed and I sent $50 to start.(I bought it in Tucson and I'm up in glendale) Since I had a good title, I didint ask for a bill of sale either. I've never had this happen before, and noone I know has had to do anything like this either. I gotta get rid of it one way or another (part, sell as roller, scrap..whatever), and as far as I know cant do it without a title.

So I was wondering whats the easiest way to get this car titled and/or are there any other options??? Has anyone else had experience with something similar?

Thanks alot for any help!

Thanks!

I'd give the MVD a call honestly. They can tell you 100% accurately what you need to do. It's not uncommon to re-title a car like this. Might be hard without a bill of sale, but you never know.

Nice...but hoping to avoid something like that so I dont risk experiencing the dark side of da law.

Anyway, a roller I think would be best to shoot for, that way i dont have to mess with getting rid of a carcass at all.
